Hello, my name is Lucas and my passion is to learn and write about food, culture and society and draw connections between them.

I am the son of two Spanish migrants in Cologne, Germany, where I was born and grew up. My parents found it important to transmit their culture to me in this land alien to them and one of the ways they did so was through food. My passion for all things food was therefore instilled in me from a very early age, cooking together with my mom and trying new things whenever we could.

Growing up, I developed an interest for culture and society which made me become an anthropologist. Now, I aim at emerging myself deeply into the marvellous world of food and embarking on a journey which combines the art of cooking and eating with the complex and fascinating anthropological perspective.
